From our Church


Southminster is a small congregation located on the southwest corner of Harding Place and Danby Drive in Nashville. We welcome and appreciate diversity of opinions, racial and ethnic differences, and diverse expressions of family.

Throughout the years Southminster has been a traditional, family oriented, neighborhood church. It was begun in 1960 as a new church development of the United Presbyterian Church, the “northern” branch of what is now the PCUSA. Today the congregational leadership is committed to a “fresh expression”[1] of “church” on this corner of Nashville.
